Waterloo Regional Police said on Wednesday that investigators responded on Nov. 23 to a report of a stolen Toyota Tundra pickup truck located at a business on Darrell Dr. in rural North Dumfries.
According to police, the vehicle had been reported stolen from the Greater Toronto Area.
Officers arrested two men at the business.
While at the business, police allege officers found a substantial chop shop, where stolen vehicles are disassembled so that the parts can be sold separately or used in other vehicles. Officers also noted a large number of vehicles had been disassembled.

As part of the investigation and with assistance from investigators from the Équité Association, cops completed a search warrant at the business and found the stolen Toyota Tundra and two newer Lexus vehicles that had also been reported stolen from the GTA.
The next day, as officers continued the investigation, a third individual was arrested at the property, police said.
In total, 52 stolen high-end vehicles were recovered by police, but only three were still intact.
Police said the majority of the vehicles recovered included those that are commonly targeted through reprogramming theft, including Toyota Highlanders, Toyota Tundras, Lexus RX350s, Dodge Rams, and Ford F150s.
Investigators released video and images of the dozens of disassembled vehicles stored inside a large warehouse.

According to police, the estimated value of the recovered vehicles is $4 million. An additional $80,000 worth of tools and three forklifts were also seized at the site.
Investigators allege the operation had been running since October and they believe the parts were being shipped overseas to supply the repair of other stolen vehicles.
A 73-year-old man and 36-year-old man from Cambridge, along with a 29-year-old man from North Dumfries, are charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.
The accused are scheduled to appear in a Kitchener courtroom on Jan. 6, 2025.
Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators with Waterloo Regional Police at 519-570-9777, ext. 8255.
