Toronto terror: Woman arrested after driving wrong way, striking vehicles – Samfiru Tumarkin LLP

A woman in her 80’s has been arrested after driving the wrong way in downtown Toronto—striking multiple vehicles.
Videos posted on social media (WARNING: explicit language) show a dark-coloured vehicle with extensive front-end damage and airbags deployed driving west on the eastbound lane of Front Street East near Princess Street on Dec. 12.
- Vehicles heading eastbound tried to get out of the way to avoid being hit.
- One motorist got out of his vehicle after being hit and tried to stop the woman, but was unsuccessful.
- The woman was taken to hospital following her arrest. Toronto police didn’t disclose the severity of her injuries.
- No other injuries were reported.

Investigation updates
The cause of the multi-vehicle collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
