Toronto Marlies Sign Five Players to AHL Contracts
The Toronto Marlies announced they have re-signed forwards Zach Solow and Robert Mastrosimone, as well as defensemen Tommy Miller and Matteo Pietroniro, they also signed defenseman Ryan McCleary.
All five players signed a one-year AHL contract.
Both Mastrosimone and McCleary will be participating in the Toronto Maple Leafs rookie camp in Montreal this week.

Miller put up five points in 44 games and two points in two playoff games for the Marlies last season, 2024-25 will be his third season with the club.
Pietroniro had nine points in 40 games and two points in three playoff games last season. He joined the Newfoundland Growlers in 2021-22 before playing 51 games with the Marlies in 2022-23.
Both 25-years-old, Miller and Pietroniro played significant minutes for Toronto last season but they will have more competition on the blueline this year with the additions of Dakota Mermis, Nicolas Mattinen, Cade Webber, and Philippe Myers.
Solow recorded 26 points and 132 penalty minutes in 66 games with the Marlies last season, while Mastrosimone notched 15 points in 45 games. We dove deeper into the signings of Solow and Mastrosimone here.
McCleary spent last season with the WHL’s Swift Current Broncos where he recorded 11 goals and 36 points in 56 games. He was originally drafted in the seventh round by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2021.
