Taylor Swift fans flock to Toronto for epic concert experience

Taylor Swift’s six-show run in Toronto started with a bang on Thursday, leaving fans buzzing with excitement.

Charlotte Seal from Barrie was among the lucky ‘Swifties’ to have an “unforgettable experience” at the Rogers Centre.

“I feel super fortunate to have gone and the vibe with Swifties is just unlike anybody else,” she said.

The pop icon will perform again Friday night, and many local fans were ready by noon, with friendship bracelets lining their arms.

“Being able to share this experience with my mom and my cousins is so phenomenal,” said Daisy Martin.

To capitalize on the ultimate fan experience, Chris Sellers-McCaw decked out his Last Call Limousine service in Barrie.

“It gives that party atmosphere with some lights and some stereo stuff. I think it’s more just a lot of like-minded people being able to get together and almost have a pre-party before the concert,” he explained.

The limo can hold up to 20 people, Sellers-McCaw said, and at $100 a seat, there’s no shortage of people wanting in.

For anyone not attending the concert, there’s still a chance to join in the fun.

The Painswick Library in Barrie is hosting a free Taylor Swift-themed event on Sunday starting at 2 p.m.

Fans can wear their favourite Swift-inspired outfits, make friendship bracelets and enjoy music by the global superstar.
