Toronto Police Integrated Gun and Task Force has laid 158 charges against 32 people in connection with what they call a “significant” interprovincial drug and firearms investigation with alleged ties to Newfoundland and Labrador.
Project Foxxx was an 11-month investigation into the activities of the Toronto street gang known as the Jamestown Crips, with alleged affiliates involved in the trafficking of illicit drugs in Ontario, Manitoba and this province.
Toronto Police allege that the trafficking operations included concealing drugs and attempting to distribute them through Canada Post. They seized nine firearms, 4.7 kilos of cocaine, six kilos of methamphetamine and more than $320,000 in cash.
They also worked with a number of agencies, including the RNC’s weapons and drug enforcement unit, in its investigation.
