Raptors roster: Toronto’s full training camp team, potential cuts, depth chart for 2024-25 season | Sporting News Canada
As the Raptors begin their 30th season in the NBA, they’re also embarking on a new era in the franchise’s history.
After a transformational season in 2023-24, Toronto enters the season with just one remaining member of the historic championship team. This season, All-Star Scottie Barnes begins as the Raptors’ unquestioned franchise player, heading a future-focused core that also features RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley.
With that talented trio leading the way, Toronto’s roster also features recent first-round picks Gradey Dick and Ja’Kobe Walter. In total, 14 of the 21 members of the Raptors training camp roster are aged 25 or younger.
The focus on youth is impossible to ignore but there is still an important group of veterans headed by Bruce Brown Jr., Kelly Olynyk, Jakob Poeltl and Garrett Temple. As the preseason gets underway, there will be plenty to evaluate with this blend of talent.
Here is everything to know about Toronto’s roster during the 2024 preseason.

Jahmi’us Ramsey, who spent time with Toronto during the 2023-24 season, was a late addition to the training camp roster.
The team will need to cut three players before opening night of the 2024-25 season. Ramsey, Bruno Fernando, Jared Rhoden and Jamison Battle are likely the four players that will vie for the final roster spot.
In addition to Chomche, DJ Carton and Branden Carlson are on two-way contracts and will split time between the Toronto Raptors and Raptors 905. Depending on G League rights, a player could later join Raptors 905 if they are cut from the training camp roster.

Toronto Raptors depth chart 2024
The trio of Barnes, Barrett and Quickley are essential locks to start, as is Poeltl. The shooting guard position is a bit trickier but this season could signal a greater role for Dick, who showed improvements toward the end of his rookie year.
Because of the versatility of its players, Toronto will have several players vying for minutes and could have a tight rotation. Barnes’ ability to assume guard responsibilities might mean a player like Mitchell spends significant time off the ball.
