Porter Airlines is set to enhance travel comfort with its elevated economy service at Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) starting this December. The airline will introduce nonstop flights from Toronto-Pearson International Airport (YYZ), with service beginning on December 12 and running three times a week throughout the winter season.
This seasonal offering promises an exceptional level of onboard hospitality, distinguishing Porter from other North American carriers. Every passenger will enjoy premium snacks, complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, and the comfort of Porter’s signature two-by-two seating configuration, eliminating middle seats for a more spacious experience.
The flights will be operated by the brand-new Embraer E195-E2, a 132-seat aircraft featuring fast and free WiFi, allowing passengers to stream, browse, and stay connected throughout their journey.
Travelers can opt for all-inclusive PorterReserve fares, which include priority check-in and boarding, extra legroom, premium pre-mixed cocktails, and fresh, healthy meals. Alternatively, PorterClassic fares offer the flexibility to purchase additional services a la carte.

Zaib Shaikh, Consul General of Canada in Los Angeles, “A congratulations, on behalf of the Consulate General of Canada in Los Angeles, to Porter Airlines on their new routes to San Diego and Palm Springs. These routes will support the more than 2.6 million people that travel between Canada and California every year for business, tourism, academic and cultural collaboration, along with visits to family and friends. I am certain these routes will also help to reinforce the already strong Canadian business connections in the region, particularly given recent prominent Canadian investments in key local industries, such as life sciences, technology and defence.”

Khalil Lamrabet, chief commercial officer and interim chief operating officer, Toronto Pearson, “Porter’s new service to Palm Springs and San Diego complements its rapidly growing list of routes offered from Toronto Pearson. Last year, approximately 50,000 passengers had to take a connecting flight to reach these California destinations, so the new service will go a long way in meeting passenger demand and offering greater choice.”
