National Lottery DOWN leaving hundreds unable to access app ahead of results
THE National Lottery app has stopped working – as hopeful Brits check to see if they’ve hit the jackpot.
Some 853 players reported the app to be down around 7am, just hours before winning numbers are set to be announced.
Anyone attempting to access the Lotto’s main page is informed online services are “temporarily unavailable”.
People are being asked to “please bear with us”, with no time frame given for when they will be up and running again.
A message reads: “Our online services are temporarily unavailable. Sorry about that – we’ll get you back in the game as soon as possible.”
The Lotto’s website has also crashed – informing players: “Our online services are temporarily unavailable.
“Sorry about that – we’ll get you back in the game as soon as possible.”
Maps show a large number of reports are coming from London this morning, with Manchester close behind.
Allwyn, who replaced Camelot as the Lotto operator at the start of this year, said “The National Lottery website and apps were closed overnight for planned maintenance and re-opened again just before 8am on Thursday.
“We appreciate players bearing with us and wish them the best of luck in this weekend’s draws.”
The outages come after the Lotto released numbers for a whopping £5.2million win up for grabs on Wednesday – with another draw taking place tonight.
