Man allegedly seen peering into Toronto home wanted by police

A man who was allegedly seen twice peering into a person’s home late at night in downtown Toronto last month is wanted by police.

In a news release issued Monday, investigators said officers were called to an address in the area of Henry and Baldwin streets on Nov. 10.

Police said that the suspect attended the victim’s address in the early morning hours on two separate occasions. At those times, the suspect was seen peering into the windows and loitering on the property.

Police added that the suspect is not known to the victim.

The suspect has been identified by police as 52-year-old Toronto resident George Braid. He’s wanted on a charge of trespassing at night.

Braid is also wanted on a number of outstanding warrants, police said, including failing to report to Toronto police’s sex crimes unit, voyeurism in York Region, and failing to comply with a probation order in Barrie.

He’s described by police as five-foot-11, 181 lbs, with a medium build, short grey hair, and blue eyes.
