Lupita Nyong’o vibrantly attended the world premiere of her movie “The Wild Robot” during the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday.
As she arrived at the Roy Thomson Hall, the Academy Award-winning actress turned heads in a custom lime green Daniel DelCore gown. The chiffon piece featured a pleated design that followed throughout the silhouette that included a cutout corset and a sheer skirt. She accessorized with a pair of diamond studs and two sparkling silver-toned rings by De Beers.
Nyong’o opted for a monochrome finish by completing the look with a custom pair of Aldo platform heels. The lime green sandals featured a leather silhouette accompanied by a criss cross strap along the almond toe. The thick ankle strap supported the boost of height coming from the platform sole and block heel that was about 5 inches tall.
The actress was styled by Micaela Erlanger, who can also be credited for the custom Prada jumpsuit and pointed-toe pumps she wore to “The Quiet Place: Day One” premiere earlier this summer. The stylist also works with John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and Julianna Margulies.
Nyong’o voices the main character, Roz, in DreamWorks’ new animated film “The Wild Robot.” The robot adapts to its new surroundings and bonds with an orphaned gosling after being shipwrecked on a deserted island. Nyong’o was joined by her co-stars Catherine O’Hara and Bill Nighy at the film’s viewing at the annual event. The public will be able to view the movie when it is released in theaters on Sept. 27.
The 49th Toronto International Film Festival will be held from Sept. 5-15. Stars like Jennifer Lopez, Sydney Sweeney, Amy Adams and Bruce Springsteen have gathered to represent films like “Unstoppable,” “Eden” and “Road Diary.”
