“I still feel numb!”: Como man keeps ambulance on speed dial after $100,000 Lucky Lotteries surprise – The Lott
A Como man has jokingly confessed he has experienced unusual side effects, including full body numbness, since discovering he’d won $100,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries draw.
The New South Welshman held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10886, drawn Friday 25 October 2024.
The stunned man shared he’d seen a missed call from lottery officials from The Lott, prompting him to check his online account and discover his surprise win.
“I still feel numb!” the winning man cheered.
“I saw your missed call earlier and thought to myself, ‘The Lott wouldn’t call for no reason’.
“So, I logged into my online account to see what you could’ve been calling about.
“I immediately felt numb – it was a very strange feeling.
“My wife was asleep when I saw we’d won. I quickly tried to wake her up to share the win with her.
“I felt so numb I thought I might have a stroke. I even joked with my wife that we should keep an ambulance on speed dial.
“It’s just so bizarre. It’s unbelievable!
“We’re both feeling so excited and grateful.
“We’re unsure what we’ll do with the prize. We need some time to process the news.”
His winning entry of 10 random numbers was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $2.92 million for draw 1690, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $6.09 million for draw 10887.
In FY24, 147 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $53.4 million.
Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.
Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.
Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.
The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.
In FY24, more than 132.8 million winners took home more than $4.4 billion in prize money from their favourite games at The Lott, including Saturday Lotto, Weekday Windfall, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno (SA), Super 66, Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.
Last financial year, Australia’s official lotteries contributed more than $1.8 billion via state lottery taxes and donations to help community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.
