Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is excited to introduce Chef William Kresky as the newly appointed Executive Chef at Café Boulud, starting June 17, 2024. Chef Kresky arrives with a rich background in culinary excellence and a track record of creative innovation in the field of culinary arts.

“Chef William Kresky’s arrival marks an exciting new chapter for Café Boulud Toronto,” says Patrick Pollak, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Toronto. “His innovative approach and dedication to culinary excellence align with our vision, and we are confident that our guests will be delighted by the exceptional dining experiences he will create.”

Raised in Kitchener, Ontario, Chef William Kresky’s culinary journey began early. At the tender age of 15, he started working in a local eatery, quickly falling in love with the vibrant and demanding kitchen environment. His commitment to the culinary arts propelled him through prestigious kitchens, including The French Laundry in California, Gramercy Tavern, and Blue Hill at Stone Barns in New York. These experiences sharpened his culinary skills and deepened his passion for excellence.

In 2017, Chef Kresky’s career took a significant leap when he joined Toronto’s Alo Restaurant as a sous chef, mentored by Chef Patrick Kriss. After a fruitful four-year tenure at Alo, he took the helm at Richmond Station as executive chef before his recent move to Café Boulud.

Chef Kresky’s culinary approach is anchored in the principles of seasonality, sustainability, and a blend of traditional and contemporary techniques. His dedication to using local ingredients is evident in his inventive menus that offer a taste of innovation and refinement. Now at Café Boulud, Chef Kresky is set to charm diners with a Mediterranean-inspired summer menu that promises delightful and fresh flavors.

Prior to his role at Café Boulud, Chef Kresky spent a week in New York City training with the celebrated Michelin-starred Chef Daniel Boulud. Their collaboration will culminate in a special five-course debut dinner at Café Boulud Toronto on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 6:30 pm. This event, priced at CAD 260 per person including wine pairings, promises an exceptional dining experience showcasing both chefs’ expertise.
