Cowichan Valley designer to showcase work in Toronto fashion show – My Cowichan Valley Now

A local designer has been selected to showcase her work at an Indigenous led fashion showcase in Toronto.

Sally Frenchy Thorne is a Coast Salish and Haida designer who draws inspiration from her heritage, “blending traditional elements and contemporary styles”.

Sally and her family are organizing a fundraiser to help cover travel costs for the All-Nations Fashion Show at York University next month.

Sarah Thorne, Sally’s Mother, says that they are accepting donated items that can be used for a raffle and the Little Ravens Powwow Group will be doing a fundraiser lunch.

For more information on how to donate follow Sally’s Facebook page at Little Sally’s Designs.
