Toronto Thrives As Central Europe Roadshow Showcases Hidden Treasures – Travel And Tour World
Thursday, November 21, 2024
Tourism organizations from Czechia, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia united in Toronto this week to engage Canadian travel professionals, highlight the region’s rich cultural heritage, lively cities, and stunning landscapes, and promote travel to Central Europe.
The event, held on Monday at Universal EventSpace in Vaughan, served as a hub for industry leaders to delve into the diverse attractions of Central Europe. Attendees participated in a panel discussion focused on the region’s destinations, networked with 19 travel suppliers and representatives from Air Canada and LOT Polish Airlines, and enjoyed an authentic culinary experience featuring traditional Central European dishes.
A key focus of the event was the introduction of expanded flight options to Central Europe. Air Canada announced the return of its seasonal summer service between Toronto and Prague, starting June 6, 2025, alongside year-round connectivity to the region through its AJV partner, Lufthansa.
Meanwhile, LOT Polish Airlines continues to bolster its North American network with direct flights linking Toronto, New York-JFK, Newark, Chicago, Miami, and Los Angeles to Warsaw, Krakow, and Rzeszow, further enhancing travel accessibility between the two regions.
Travel advisors can enhance their expertise by enrolling in the educational program available at www.centraleuropespecialist.com, which offers certification in promoting Central Europe as an interconnected, multi-destination travel experience.
