Mystery Welsh lottery winner has one week to come forward to claim £1 million prize

A mystery Welsh lottery winner has just over a week left to claim their £1 million prize. The National Lottery has said a EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker prize worth £1,000,000 has gone unclaimed.

The last-ditch search to find the owner of the winning ticket, from the EuroMillions draw on April 16, 2024, is still on. The missing ticket was bought in Rhondda Cynon Taf and the winning UK Millionaire Maker code for this prize was XMXB 32530. The lucky ticket holder now only has until Sunday, October 13, 2024 to claim their prize.

Players are being urged to check and double-check their unique EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker code for the chance to become an instant millionaire. Senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, Andy Carter, said: “We are rapidly approaching the deadline to claim this amazing EuroMillions prize but we’ve not yet been contacted by the rightful ticket-holder to claim their prize, despite numerous appeals. There is still time though, with just over one week left for this ticket-holder to get in touch. We’ve received valid claims on major National Lottery unclaimed prizes right up to the very last minute before – but time is now short for this missing winner.

“All that we ask is for all EuroMillions players to take some time out of their day to have a search and check their tickets. That five minutes out of your day could end up making you a millionaire. We are ready and waiting with the champagne on ice for that life-changing phone call to come in to us here at The National Lottery.

“Players can check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk. Players can also check tickets in retail. Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize. You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you’re a winner.”

The National Lottery says that if nobody comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK. By playing any National Lottery game, players generate £30 million each week for National Lottery-funded projects. With over 690,000 grants having been made across the UK, this money supports everything from arts to the sport sectors – from the local charity making a difference where you live through to helping our nation’s athletes win Olympic and Paralympic medals.

With all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket.
