Another Security Incident At Drake’s Toronto Home? Reports Emerge After Bodyguard Shooting

A ‘security incident’ led to a large police presence outside Drake’s home on Wednesday. This comes a day after a shooting took place outside the rapper’s mansion in Toronto. It is believed that a man tried to enter into the property.

Several local media outlets reported that the man was booked under the Mental Health Act after he tried to gain access to the mansion, basis the sources within the Toronto Police Department. The man was stopped and he was later apprehended. He wanted to meet Drake, the report said.

Multiple police cruisers reportedly rushed to the scene after they received the reports of an intruder. An altercation took place between the rapper’s staff and the alleged intruder, they added. The security team deployed outside the mansion held the man and waited for the cops to arrive. The alleged intruder was later handed over to the police.

This comes within a matter of twenty-four hours that shooting took place outside the same mansion in Toronto. Three unidentified suspects shot a bodyguard, who is currently receiving treatment.

An investigation into the shooting was launched by the Toronto Police. The incident was reported early on Tuesday. The gunshots outside Drake’s mansion in the Bridle Path neighbourhood were heard at around 2 am, per local time. The cops suspected it to be a case of attempted burglary as per preliminary reports which further claimed that Drake was not inside his home. The motive behind the shooting was not determined. The suspects had fled from the scene after hurting the guard.
