1 arrested after 4 suspects with hammers rob Fairview Mall jewelry store: Toronto police
Toronto police have arrested one suspect following another smash-and-grab style robbery at Toronto’s Fairview Mall.
Police said they were called to the North York shopping centre, near Sheppard Avenue East and Don Mills Road, on Monday ngiht around 8:45 p.m. for reports of a robbery at a jewelry store.
They said four suspects were seen armed with hammers. They ran away with merchandise, police said.
In a follow-up post on X, police said they arrested one of the suspects.
Descriptions have not been provided for the three other outstanding suspects at this time.
No injuries have been reported.
There is currntly a heavy police presence in and around Fairview Mall as police investigate.

This is the second smash-and-grab-style robbery Toronto police are investigating on Monday evening.
At around the same time, three suspects armed with hammers allegedly robbed a store near Eglinton Avenue West and Venn Crescent, just east of Keele Street. They all fled the scene in a vehicle, police said.
